Until September 6, the exhibition 'Bigger Picture: Connected worlds of Bruges 900-1550' is on display at BRUSK. The exhibition shows how Bruges was connected with the world during the Middle Ages. During 'BRUSK Curator Talk,' Nicky Aerts (Klara) talks Peter Frankopan about these medieval connections and their relevance today.
Peter Frankopan is the chief curator of 'Bigger Picture', a renowned British historian and professor of global history at the University of Oxford and author of, among others, the bestseller 'The Silk Roads'.
On the occasion of the exhibition, the book 'Connected Worlds of Bruges' is published, edited and compiled by Peter Frankopan and Jan Dumolyn, and featuring contributions from various experts. After the talk, you can buy the book and have it signed.
