High Tide
Hoogtij explores the poetic and transformative power of water in art and fashion
Hoogtij delves into the profound role of water, the sea and the ocean in the imagination of fashion designers and contemporary artists, portraying water as a dynamic, generative force and a poetic reality. Through multi-sensory installations and works by both established names and emerging talent, the exhibition explores themes such as fertility, rebirth, threat, migration and feminist perspectives.
From mythological figures such as Venus and Narcissus to contemporary reflections on climate change, migration and emotional depth, the exhibition reveals how water mirrors our destiny whilst simultaneously connecting art and fashion. Fashion and art icons such as Versace, Iris Van Herpen, Bill Viola and Dries Van Noten bring this oceanic vision to life. Featuring interviews with, amongst others, BOTTER, Rinus Van de Velde, DI PETSA and Marine Serre.
